Privacy Policy

Last updated Jan 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how IndiePost collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service. By using IndiePost, you agree to the practices described here.

IndiePost is a software service operated by Eric Barron, providing tools for drafting, scheduling, and publishing social media content.

1. Information we collect

  • Account info: basic profile details from your authentication provider (such as name, email, and avatar).
  • Connected accounts: tokens and identifiers provided by platforms like TikTok, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn so we can create and schedule posts on your behalf.
  • Content data: scheduled posts, captions, media references, and scheduling metadata.

2. How we use your data

We use your information to:

  • Authenticate you and keep your IndiePost account secure.
  • Schedule and publish content to the social platforms you connect.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve IndiePost, including debugging and monitoring reliability.

3. How we store media

When you upload media to IndiePost, we store it in our media storage (for example: Cloudflare R2) and keep references in our database so we can attach the correct files when posting to each platform. We do not sell media or share it with unrelated third parties.

4. Third-party platforms & APIs

IndiePost connects to third-party platforms solely to provide the scheduling and posting features you request. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control how they handle your data once a post has been published.

5. Data retention & deletion

We retain your account data and scheduled content while your IndiePost account is active. If you disconnect a social account or delete your IndiePost account, we will remove or anonymize related data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal or security reasons.

6. Security

We use modern security practices and encrypted connections to help protect your data. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong password and keeping your login details safe.

7. Your choices

  • You can disconnect social accounts at any time from within IndiePost or on the platform itself.
  • You can request deletion of your IndiePost account and associated data by contacting us.

To request deletion of your data, you may contact us at support@indiepost.app and we will process your request within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the revised policy.

9. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle data, you can reach us at support@indiepost.app.
